Glenvarloch Luxury Self-Catering Lodge
Glenvarloch, Strathyre, Perthshire FK18 8NA, Scotland
Lying within Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park, Strathyre is a small and quaint village just ten miles north of Callander on the A84, that was subject to a gold
rush in the 1850s. With cycle & hiking routes, golf courses, fishing, and water sports all on the doorstep, whilst also being only one hour from Glasgow, Perth, and Stirling;
the village is the perfect base from which to explore an area of supreme natural beauty, excitement, culture, and history.

Strathyre itself retains the neighbourly and welcoming atmosphere that is reserved for
small, rural villages. There are two establishments that offer food; The Inn
(www.innatstrathyre.co.uk) and Creagan House (www.creaganhouse.co.uk); as well as a post office and shop.
The village is directly on the C7 cycleway, which follows the spectacular route south towards Callander and north towards Balquhidder. Additionaly, there are countless options for walkers available, ranging from strolls along the nearby River Balvaig, to challenging hikes up An Sheann, and of course the Rob Roy Way.

There is also a variety of Activities and Things To Do available within driving distance, most notably:
-
Lochearnhead Water Sports Centre (7 miles)
-
Gleneagles & other Championship Golf Courses (34 miles)
-
Skiing/Snowboarding at Glencoe Mountain Resort (56 miles)
